Suniva® Solar Cells Power Solar Project in India |

NORCROSS, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Suniva®, Inc., a U.S. manufacturer of high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon solar cells and modules, today announced the commissioning of its largest solar power installation with Titan Energy Systems Ltd. (“Titan”), located in Karnataka, India. The 3MW, ground-mounted system is the largest grid-connected solar field in India, covering more than 12 acres. The system was designed and deployed by Titan and is owned and operated by Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd. (“Karnataka Power”), one of India’s largest power providers. Karnataka Power will distribute power generated by the system to local farmers for irrigation purposes. |

(NASDAQ: ASYS), a global supplier of production and automation systems and related supplies for the manufacture of solar cells, semiconductors, and silicon wafers, today announced that Fokko Pentinga, Managing Director of Amtech Europe and General Manager of Tempress Systems®, Inc., has been promoted to President of Amtech Systems, Inc. The Company also entered into an amended and restated employment agreement with J.S. Whang, who will continue as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Amtech Systems, Inc.

In December 2008 Mr. Pentinga was appointed as Managing Director of Amtech Europe, which is comprised of Tempress Systems in Vaassen, the Netherlands, and R2D Automation® in Montpellier, France. Solar Power, Inc. Awarded Contract to Develop World’s Largest Elevated Solar Recreational Vehicle Parking Structure |

ROSEVILLE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Solar Power, Inc. (“SPI”) (OTCBB:SOPW) announced today that it has been awarded a contract by Temescal Canyon RV, LLC to design and build an elevated Recreational Vehicle (RV) parking structure which will incorporate a 1.75 megawatt DC solar system utilizing SPI’s top-ranked solar modules. In addition to power generation, the system structure will also be used to provide recreational vehicles covered parking and protection from the environment at the Temescal Canyon RV storage. Once completed, the owner-financed system will be the largest of its kind in the world. The facility is located in Riverside County adjacent to the City of Corona. The project is scheduled to begin in late March of this year and be completed by July. |
